My name’s Sean, and I’m the founder of The Almanac. The dapper bird you see above is none other than our mascot and sole delivery driver, Larry The Loon. Believe it or not (I personally choose to), Larry delivers each and every newsletter.

This whole thing started off during a drive home from a cottage, a question, and maybe a little bit too much free time. It quickly grew into a media company that focuses exclusively on regional Canadian lifestyle. The kind of thing you’d read if you’re a local, or somebody planning a trip who wants to be in the know. Our goal is simple, to help people better experience local communities, their stories, and the people that make them special. We attempt to achieve this through our weekly newsletter, Fireside podcast, and on our social channels.
